Well, the complete humiliation of the former beast known as the Texas Aggie defense was not enough to ruin our weekend, but it certainly spells doom for the rest of the Aggie season, and especially for the career of Carl Torbush. We saw him at Taco Villa on the way out of town talking to the manager. As defenseless as A&M is, maybe we should start calling him "Coach France". I don't want to beleaguer this too much, just making my thoughts known, since I am normally such an Aggie optimist.
It was a great weekend regardless, just as Roosterbowl weekend always is. I will have the pictures posted later in the week.

The B-E-A-N bean burrito is a work of art at Taco Villa. I shudder to think what happens to it if Torborgush gets the gig there.
Well, where do you start on this year's roosterbowl? On one hand, I have a bitch list a mile long. On the other hand, it's not really worth it. A&M has turned into a complete joke...no one respects or fears any aspect of our game.
Joe, I know you like to nickname each year's game (the shootout, the shutout, etc...) I would like to suggest "THE AFTERTHOUGHT" as the title for this roosterbowl.
Reason being, there was no hype or excitement around the game due to the ags poor play. Everyone knew beforehand that the aggies were totally overmatched. Normally, I talk more trash than anybody with the hopes we can back it up. This year, I was too embarassed to put myself out there like that. Sadly, we've been reduced to the status of Baylor and SMU (a weak-ass opponent).
Yeah, I was going pre-emptively for "The Shocker", but that didn't quite work out.
Joe, I think you said it best during our discussion over lunch..."we don't have the defensive personnel that Baylor has".
Upon truly analyzing this statement, it is obvious that we out-recruit Baylor every year...so we do, in fact, have better players than Baylor.
We have been hoodwinked into thinking that the players suck by the coaches and the spin-machine coming out of Aggieland. The real truth is that the coaches have completely failed. This includes Franchione, Torbush, and the entire staff.
I would like to see coach Fran "pull a Bobby Knight" and give his salary back for this season. When Knight failed, at least he held himself accountible...it is time for Coach Fran to do the same.
that's the "Fran-tastic Forest": It's not me, it's the players.
Fran's cliches must drive you guys completely bonkers.
If it makes you feel any better, the Ags were apart of STD's largetst crowd in history - even larger than the one where they broke Rodney Allison's leg - that one, if memory serves, was barely 55k.
Joe, is it safe to say the Ags got "Spocked"? Or would that be "Grand Prairie Gagged"?
