This quote came AFTER Tech AD Gerald Myers and Tech President David Schmidly had publicly condemned the actions of Tech students, who tore down the goalpost and shoved it into the visitors section, inciting a brawl. In Leach's defense, maybe by "better", he meant better street-fighters.

It's a pretty accurate quote I think, unless you think the Gap kid and the chick with the zebra purse were involved.
8 years later, I've only seen handful of Tech folks that were fighting. What you conveniently omit, is that your future Cult Leader, Alamo Mike McKinney, was also involved.
It was difficult to tell which side he was on though as he was busy assaulting his fellow sheep dippers with his binoculars.
