The best two receivers in the Big 12 are Jason Carter and Robert Johnson, both former quarterbacks at A&M and Tech respectively. Carter leads the Big 12 in yardage and yards per game, while Johnson leads in receptions. This is particularly impressive when you consider how much both teams spread the ball around to different receivers.Here are the numbers:
Jason Carter: 431 yards on 20 catches for 107.8 ypg and 21.6 per catch; 3 TD's
Robert Johnson: 419 yards on 25 catches for 104.8 ypg and 16.8 per catch; 2 TD's
I don't quite know what inspired me to post this, other than the fact that they are almost statistically identical, and lead the conference. It might be fun to track this through the season.
